38 weeks

we have had a pretty neat winter so far this year :) it's been cold, but not much snow! it's been nice not having to wear boots everywhere...it's fun for a while, but after 4 months of wearing the same boots over and over and over, it gets a little old ;)

also, because of the lack of snow, the ice on the lake is clear...makes it look so pretty :) usually it's completely white, but this winter there have been a couple of days where people have been able to ice skate anywhere on the lake w/out having to sweep snow :) i think people are saying the ice is around 8 inches thick at the moment

yesterday was a gorgeous day and my sweet sweet hubby took the time to take a few more pregnancy pics w/ me :)

in case you can't tell from the smiles on our faces, we are so so excited and happy about that little bump on my belly :)

38 weeks :)

So...it's december!!!! anyone know what that means???? baby is due this month!!

3.5 weeks 'til "d-day" :)

this past saturday...hubby and i got ready for baby :)

i think we're all set now...at least as far as the house goes...who knows about the rest lol

despite the fact that dave is a carpenter, i never have tools around the house when i need them. he takes them all to work. after several times of me asking him to bring home a hammer, screwdriver, wrench, etc, he decided to get me some tools of my own :) not only that, but i got his old tool belt as well :)

so, here are me and bump, sporting our new duds...

35 weeks, 6 days

in other news..."it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."

i don't have many Christmas decorations yet, but what i do have i love :)

also, this morning we woke up to a frozen lake...

it'll be close to another month until we can drive on it, but no more open water for approximately 5 months

THANKSGIVING DAY: 35 weeks, 4 days

it was a cold, cold morning, but slightly above freezing, so we took pictures!!!

so can't wait to meet this munchkin!

i am hoping and praying that she comes early!!! i would love to go home for christmas :) so if you feel like offering up a little prayer on my behalf i'd really appreciate it!

i think she would appreciate not being born too close to Christmas as well :) lol

in other news...Happy American Thanksgiving!!!!

i have to specify that it's American Thanksgiving because up here we had Thanksgiving over a month ago!! I got in on 3 Thanksgiving meals over Canadian Thanksgiving, so today will mark my 4th Thanksgiving meal of the year! It does make sense that it would be earlier up here considering that it looks very much like winter and not very much like fall outside.

Also, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, i would like to say that i am so so so so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for the abundant blessings He has poured out on my life...namely my hubby and our baby :) ... and of course, my amazing family!

3D ultrasound - a perfect bday present :)

My bday was 11-11-11 this year :)

and to celebrate my 25 years of life, my hubby took me to Winnipeg where he spoiled me for the weekend :)

we had such a good time together...i love him so so much!

our weekend of fun included:

- several fun restaurants

- hanging out together at a coffee shop

- going to see a movie

- lots of shopping

- spending 2 nights at a nice hotel

- 10 hrs of driving (very long, but there is no one else i would rather travel with!)

- AND getting to see our precious little baby girl during a 3D ultrasound - a perfect bday present!

*sigh* - i could look at these pictures all day!

the lady who did the ultrasound said that we for sure a having a little girl...soooo excited!

she also said that baby is super squished...apparently my tummy is kinda small so baby doesn't have a whole lot of wiggle room...hopefully that means that she'll want to get out of there sooner rather than later!!!!

i look at these pictures and i feel our little girl kicking, squirming, and stretching, and i cannot help but be completely in awe of and humbled before my God.

who am i that He would choose to bless me with such miracle?!?!

and what an amazing Creator! He has formed and designed every single aspect of this little girl. He has put love and care into every aspect of her being. she has been loved by Him long before we even knew she existed.

what a privilege to be her mom :)

i so cannot wait to meet her!

33 weeks

we've been slacking on the whole picture thing...but finally here are a couple more :)

baby sure is getting more uncomfortable to carry! she's been kicking in my ribs and side...and kicking hard while she's at it!!! lol

my insides are feeling more squished than ever...can't imagine what it's going to be like closer to the end! i don't feel like there is any more room in there for her to grow ;)

but as uncomfortable as it can be at times, i sure am going to miss feeling her move and kick inside of me...pretty sure holding her in my arms will be even better though!
