we had a warm[ish] day

it's been a winter for the record books (at least in my opinion!)
i don't think it's made it above 50F yet
in the bush there is still around 2 feet of snow left
the other day it was up to 40F and it felt like spring!
i dressed Brighton up and let her run up and down the sidewalk
she loved it!
back and forth, back and forth, for at least 1/2 and hour lol

tomorrow we're supposed to get 1-2 inches of snow, BUT...
this weekend it's calling for 60F!!!!
i can't wait :)

key west

late friday night, hubby and i got back from our 6 day vacation
honestly, i didn't really feel like a 6 day vacation
one of the downfalls about living in Red Lake, ON is that half of your vacation is spent traveling!
but it was a much needed break full of sunshine and love
and we loved it :)

one of our first meals out was at the Bonefish Grill
it is one of our absolute favorite restaurants!
the Bang Bang Shrimp are to die for!
and i just love the crusty bread w/ seasoned olive oil they give you to start off
the first time we ate at the Bonefish Grill was on our honeymoon, and it always brings back such fun memories :)
We've eaten there every time we've been to Florida since.

for those of you who haven't been to Key West, Dave and I would both highly recommend it.
it's a pricey place, but very unique and fun
there is lots of history, art, food, and shopping
most of the houses in old Key West were built during the late 1800s/early 1900s and are required to be maintained in that fashion. it gives the town a quaint historic feel...which i loved :)
we spent hours just walking all over the little island looking at houses and window shopping
we stayed at a little Bed and Breakfast call the Tranquility Guesthouse
and no, unfortunately that Mustang was not our rental car ;)

one evening we went to Mallory Square to watch the sunset.
every evening about 2 hrs. before the sun sets people come from all over the island to hang out, buy trinkets and food, watch the street performers, and then of course to watch the sun set.
i would guess there were around 1,000 people there the night we went...all gathered together to watch God's beautiful artwork in the sky :)
i think it's cool how He's created one of the biggest attractions on Key West

love lane :)
